I went here on a Friday afternoon with my fiance for drinks and dinner around 5pm. I really enjoyed the outside patio and being able to sit outside and watch Campbell Ave and all of the people try to parallel park.
Before coming here I always used to laugh at the "industrial strength margarita" sign but gosh - boy they are right.
I definitely think I would come back here especially if I have a craving for a margarita.

Shear Art Hair Salon
Categories: Hair Salons, Nail Salons
This place is tiny and looks ghetto from the outside. My fiance goes here to get his haircut every mont here for only $10 (and they do a good job).
I went here last week to get a manicure. I paid $15 for my french manicure (which seemed okay pricing wise). The manicure they gave me was done very nicely and is still looking good almost a week later.
I will definitely be going back here to get manicures!

A Bellagio Italian Restaurant
Categories: Italian, Party & Event Planning, Caterers
If you've ever watched Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares this would be the type of place he would point out for having "bad advertising and barely noticeable". We were invited to go to the restaurant by my fiance's coworker - until she had mentioned the restaurant I didn't even know where it was in Campbell!
Once we got inside (and found the front door - yes this was a bit of a challenge) everything was wonderful. This was not the heavy, disgusting Americanized Italian that I am so used to seeing. I had the lobster raviolis (wonderful!!) and for dessert split the tiramisu with my fiance.
The thing that I loved the most about the restaurant was the decor and ambiance. The restaurant looks like it used to be a barn or garage so it has very high ceilings which are very nice. The ambiance is great - not noisy at all - this is the absolute perfect place for a first date or if you want to have an evening out to talk with good friends.
I'll definitely be coming back here.

I was a bit worried about this restaurant since technically it is located in a hotel and I didn't want to take my family to a 'hotel' restaurant but as soon as I arrived my worries vanished.
We had dinner here on a Saturday night and the restaurant was packed. The wine selection was fantastic, appetizers and dinner was absolutely wonderful.
Despite how wonderful the food was, I think the thing I enjoyed the most was the ambiance and service. The restaurant is gorgeous and I really enjoy having the kitchen out in the open. The service was also wonderful. They constantly came around to refill water, repour wine and if anyone at our table got up to visit the restroom they would refold the napkin.
I hope to be back here again - this is a great restaurant to take a group of people to and enjoy a wonderful meal together!

Mmmm. My first ever Indian food experience. It was sooo good. The curry dinner is a great deal - for around $10 you can easily split this with someone else.
I'm not sure how 'authentic' this place is since it really is like a fast food, California-ized Indian food restaurant but it is a great place to get your feet wet if you are hesitant about trying Indian food for the first time.

I've lived here with my fianc since January of 2007 (so over a year now). We seriously are in love with this place and have had very few (if any) problems.
Some of the biggest perks for us are living on the 3rd floor (you get gorgeous vaulted ceilings, more sunlight and added privacy) and the washer and dryer in unit. The unit is a great size and I love the layout with a bedroom/bathroom on each side (seems it would be great for roommates too!)
The only grievances I really have against Avalon Campbell is that for a 2 bedroom apartment you only get one parking spot which is a pain since we have to pay an extra $20/month for our second spot. The other issue I have is the cost of rent (a bit pricy). All in all I really enjoy living here!

Jelly Belly Factory Tour
Category: Candy Stores
If you manage to have a day off during the week, going up to the Jelly Belly factory for a tour of their facilities is definitely something you should do.
Overall the tour was just OK. The tour guide didn't know much about the factory and just would walk us from one station to the next and say "Now lets watch this video". It was cool to look below and see how the candies are made.
The best part is at the end you get a pretty decent size bag of jelly bellies. Score!

Mmmm. I love this place. I've gone here with my fiance both for massages and for the tubs. The massage experience wasn't so great - at other spas they have always given me time to take a shower but at Watercourse they just had us throw our clothes on over our sticky, sweaty bodies. Ick.
The tubs are definitely worth the money and very relaxing - that is the reason why I will continue to go back here.
The only issue that we have had with this place was finding it. Maybe we are just Palo Alto newbies, but it seems that every time we go here we get lost at night. The staff at Watercourse is always more than helpful on the phone giving us directions though!

It's a dollar store. Can it really be that great? But they have an adequate selection and when I do stop in its normally OK. I guess I should start making better use of the store and going here for odds and ends instead of Safeway.
I guess the thing that bothers me the most is that this shopping center is just plain sketch. I hate going here at night - but that's my problem I guess, right?

This place is WONDERFUL. In an hour we had found a gorgeous veil (that they are custom making), a stunning necklace and the perfect headpiece. These were the last few things that I was really worrying about in regards to the wedding so I was very happy.
Compared to other shops I have gone to, the Bridal Suite goes over and beyond. They were very patient with me and really helped me to make a decision instead of saying "just go look at what we have". If I have ever have friends getting married in this wedding I'll be sure to update.

Also I left my wedding dress here to be steamed - I'm sure it will turn out lovely but will have to wait until July to find out!
